There are two rows of beautiful swansdown at the edges of the bell sleeves
The plackets are edged with a row of the same. The jacket ties with two pure silk chiffon ribbons to the midriff
The jacket is completely lined in a gossamer fine pink silk chiffon and the whole garment is hand sewn.
These jackets look fabulous in the boudoir or worn with silk palazzo pants for relaxing weekends.
They can equally be worn as cocktail wear, when teamed with a long silk shift dress.
The edges of the jacket are daintily pointed in keeping with the cobweb design of the lace.
The item has been Professionally cleaned and is ready to wear.
Wonderfully soft and tactile, it’s styled lower towards the back,
and is such a beautiful garment, perfect for any bride, or a fashionable lady at the theatre,
The garment been table cut and the lining and the securing of the feathers are all hand sewn.
It's unworn since its purchase in 1951 and has been stored extreamly well. The last owner was a fashion designer from 1940s right up to 1985 and kept the jacket as part of the family’s private collection.
