Vintage 1920s Champagne Silk Hand Made Nightgown, Robe or Day Dress.
The gown has hand made French lace at the neckline and on the edges of the angle sleeves.
The bottom hem has been hand rolled and stitched in silk thread, as are all the seams
The lace is Caen and was made by my 2 x Great Grandmother’s
Around the neckline the lace is free stitched onto the gown, elsewhere the lace is appliqué.
The waistline is high and has the original elastic which is without rot.
These garments look absolutely beautiful when worn as slip dresses, its original, unique and very avant-Garde
The skirt of the gown has been very generously cut
The following measurements have been taken when the garment was laid flat, relaxed and unstretched - from seam to seam, and is being given for comparison against a similar item of ones own.
