Fabulous 1950s Cocktail Dress
The dress is created from an iridescent raw silk in a vibrant shimmering pink
The neckline is sweetheart shaped
The skirt of the dress has a net under petticoat attached
The bodice is fitted under the bust with piping, and there are bone supports to the sides and the back to give structure to the bodice should the wearer prefer not to wear undergarments
From the waist the dress then flares gently out, and becomes quite full at 32” before the skirt of the dress generously falls away in 6 wide panels to give a semi circle.
Previously part of a private fashion collection the set is in the most gorgeous wearable condition. The metal zip was replaced ten years ago to prevent any rot to the silk
This is a beautiful garment. Perfect for the cocktail hour, and those special festivals or retro music nights. The measurements given are actual, from seam to seam and are given as a guide.
