Vintage 1930s Vogue Designed Silk Shirt Dress and Jacket.
Original Designer Sample with makers/seamstress label hidden on an internal return seam.
Table cut, machine and hand sewn.
This is a very simple dress yet the cut has turned it into the utmost couture dress.
Delightful neckline with collar and an ultra long Art Deco style jacket.
It has been made to compliment the ladies curves and is extremely well made.
The design of the dress is still bang on trend, couture like this never dates and would make a stunning addition to any collection. The gown has been professionally cleaned and is free of foxing, fading to the fabric or shattering.
Original pearlised glass buttons to the dress and jacket.
The placket is scalloped. There’s an inverted box pleat to the front and one to the back. Dainty dolly pockets are front off centre of the dress.
The sleeves are capped.
The measurements given have been taken seam to seam when the garment was laid flat and relaxed. Please compare the sizes given for an exact fit.
