Vintage 1800s Over Corset Chemise or Summer Camisole. Made from the finest French homespun Metis linen it's been trimmed around the waist with a feminine hand stitched running panel. To the front, is padded silk dot embroidery and open work. The top is edged in bobbin lace, which is pristine
At the neckline there are 1cm jours to allow a ribbon to be threaded if desired. I have left the ribbon which was with the camisole, it’s vintage of approximately 1930s a later addition.
The buttons are hand turned pearl. The measurements were taken when the garment was relaxed, laid flat and from seam to seam.
