Vintage 1950s Ladies Suit Warm Winter Jacket & Pencil Skirt English Wool Silk Lined
Rare Vintage 1950s Ladies Couture English Wool Two Piece suit. Peplum Jacket & Exquisite Pencil Skirt which is the longer length with a box pleat centre back.
Fully lined in vivid tangerine silk.
The jacket fastens with Bakelite buttons. The sleeves are lose fitting with turn backs at the cuff.
The skirt zip is metal and free running.
The suit was a sample, before pattern, and was made by the Ideal Suit company to government guidelines.
The suit has been freshly dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
It’s such a beautiful suit, perfect for the winter months. Wear with a red polo neck sweater and pearls or a silk scarf and heels for a dangerously chic look.
Date of creation; November 1953. The measurements have been taken seam to seam when the garment was laid flat - then doubled.

This wonderful suit, in the most desirable condition. It was part of a private fashion collection, and was stored almost immediately after being made. The fabric is English Wool, grey and black with a rainbow fleck, which compliments the lining exquisitely
