Genuine Vintage 1940s Trench Coat in a herringbone Pure Wool. Originally owned by a lady officer during WWII.

The cut is a traditional trench coat design with a box pleat to the back with a half belt above. Its double breasted, and can be worn either by gents or ladies.
The original buttons are present, which bring it together Fabulously padded shoulders and a Huge Collar, flapped square pockets and closed cuffs complete the look.
The garment is free of thinning, repairs or age related marks. It’s completely lined in a heavy satin striped silk which has been hand stitched into the coat by the tailor.
It was taken into a private fashion collection in 1953 where it was stored in a controlled environment.
The garment has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. All measurements have been taken when the coat was laid flat and is the actual seam to seam measurements. Kindly consider this when comparing against ones own size.
