Brexton Picnic Hamper Case Original Unused Condition with Tags 1950s Goodwood Retro Pristine & Rare
Stunning 1958 Brexton Picnic Case or Hamper. Excellent unused condition with original tags and two sets of keys.
Complete with the original and rare Fiesta crockery.
Perfect for summer picnics, retro days out at the seaside or cutting a look at Goodwood.
The case consists of;
2 x Thermos Flasks Unused.
2 x Tea Plates marked on the back with the Barker Bros stamped
2 x Cups - Stamped
2 x Saucers - Stamped
2 x Knives- Stamped with the Brexton
2 x Folks - Brexton stamped
2 x Tea Spoons - Brexton stamped
1 x Bacalite Food boxe-stamped on the lid. Cream Base Blue Lid
1 x Bacalite Salt pot.
1 x Bacalite Pepper pot.
This gorgeous item is quite rare as there are two brass air vents, one to the front and one at the back. It stands upon four half round brass studs, one at each corner. The handle is a cream leather grained Bacalite, the hinges at the back and the locks are all brass too.
The hamper is constructed from wood, which has been covered in a wipeable blue and cream mottled linoleum to the outside and a cream leather grained linoleum to the inside. All the securing straps are leather and the closing popper studs are very firm. The cup holder is in exceptional condition.
The item was recently under the ownership of a large country estate.
