Exquisite early 1800s Shoulder Wrap or Collar made from Black Silk Net Lace with an extravagant overlay of French shimmering sequins and with infills of dainty Needle-run Chantilly lace
Every inch of this item has been done by hand, from the weaving of the net silk to the delicate hand sewn sequins. The fabric is stunning, and is in the most exquisite condition, and has been well stored within a linen cupboard for the last 150+ years and formed part of a private linen and lace collection spanning over 350 years.
