Genuine Vintage 1930s Couture Coat in Mohair & Cashmere Mix with a Double Silver Fox Shawl Collar and Full Trim to the front placket, lined in quilted silk.
Made my J. Lubliner Ltd of London for Marshall & Snellgrove of Scarborough North Yorkshire.

The cut is a traditional boxy design with a swing back and bracelet sleeves. It has one button, which is original, to bring it together or it may be worn edge to edge. Fabulous slightly padded shoulders and raglan sleeves complete the look.
The garment is completely lined in a soft sage green quilted heavy silk/Satin, which has been hand stitched into the coat by the tailor.
Originally purchased directly from the Marshall and Snellgrove in September 1931. It was taken straight into a private fashion collection where it was stored in a controlled environment.
The garment has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally. All measurements have been taken when the jacket was laid flat and is the actual seam to seam measurements. Kindly consider this when comparing against ones own size.

The coat is a fabulous and rare find, it's been professionally dry cleaned and is now ready to wear. Perhaps the most desirable addition to any outfit I've seen this year, and perfect for the theatre, retro weddings or themed weekends.
