Stunning Canton de Manila, silk piano shawl with macramé, edging and silk tassels. This is a stunning item made in approximately 1923 and it’s completely all handstitched. The edges are rolled and there is no fading or loose threads.
The silk panel itself is without damage and is in extremely good condition.
The centre panel measures approx
60 x 60 inches
The macramé lace is 4 inches and together with the silk tassels measures 18 inches.
The shawl is an heirloom item from my own collection and comes with provenance, I’m selling my collection as I’m downsizing - so it’s got to go
Professionally dry cleaned in March
The wrap has been shown in natural light for clarity and is completely untouched digitally.
