Vintage 1980s Hand printed Shirt Dress with gentle gathering to the back and front of the dress to give a very defined blouson style to the upper bodice.
Exquisitely cut, the dress has a defined elasticated waist with a self covered belt, which falls nicely in pleats over the hips, to give a Luxurious Fluidity to the fabric as the lady moves. The shoulders are padded. The buttons are original. This is a very beautiful dress, and would surely be a crowd pleaser. Wear with pearls, leather pumps, or maybe dainty sandals for the country lady or Sloan look
The skirt of the dress is simply glorious, with a huge amount of fabric to give an exquisite swing, as the lady moves.
The whole of the gown has been exquisitely made and includes a button down front and roomy hip pockets.
It was previously part of a consignment of retired stock from a North Yorkshire Boutique
The seams are mostly hand sewn and finished.
This is such a fabulous dress, perfect for any garden party, vintage themed gathering, retro wedding. It’s simply exquisite, light summery and divinely made.
