Original Vintage 1940s Slightly fitted belted Dress with matching boxy jacket which has been created from the most gorgeous champagne brocade
It’s an absolute treat and rare as it’s completely unworn - exceptionally wearable today. It’s gorgeous and is in exceptional vintage condition.
Lovely styling to the neck of the dress, gently fitted bodice leads into a belted waist over an inverted concertina pleat to the back.
Large slip pockets at the hip complete the look.
The jacket is so very stylish with slight darts to the bottom edge, letting the jacket to lay ‘just so’ at the waist and just above the hip line. The sleeves are full and 3/4 with chevron styling.
It was purchased in 1949 from Harrods W1 London and placed immediately into a Private Collection belonging to a vogue fashion designer. Its exquisitely designed, with the utmost style to compliment the wearer.
The dress and jacket have been freshly dry cleaned and are now ready to wear.
