Fabulous 1950s Doree Cocktail Dress with a stunning skirt all created from generous gatherings of Iridescent Blue Silk Taffeta with a half lining of stiffened linen.
The dress has been hand finished, with a softly boned bodice which is fitted into the waist, and the skirt is very full.
The gown has been professionally dry cleaned and is now ready to wear.
Previously part of a private fashion collection and in the most gorgeous wearable original condition, there are no holes or age marks but there are signs of gentle wear and alterations, and you can see the ghost stitch marks in places-hence the reduced cost,
This is a beautiful garment, and is perfect to team with a little bolero or capelet, or perhaps a stole or wrap. Perfect for the cocktail hour, and those special festivals or retro music nights.
The measurements given are actual, from seam to seam and are given as a guide as the garment is without tags.
