Gorgeous and simply stunning Vintage 1950s Baby Blue Feather Cocktail Bolero Jacket, with 3/4 sleeve and scalloped edges.
Professionally cleaned and ready to wear.
I always test fabrics this way, to see if there is any thinning etc, if it will endure a cleaning, then it’s in prime vintage condition and wearable
The Jacket is panelled to give a more structured look and finishes a tad above the waistline
Wonderfully soft and tactile, it’s styled lower towards the back,
The lining is baby blue silk which is without damage, although there are three faint age spots - please see photos
This is such a beautiful garment, perfect for any bride, or a fashionable lady at the Goodwood races, maybe a unique gift for a prom princess. It’s been table cut and the lining and the securing of the feathers is all hand sewn.
It's unworn since its purchase in 1951 and has been stored extreamly well. The last owner was a fashion designer from the 1940s right up to 1985 and kept the bolero as part of the family’s private collection.
