Vintage 1950s Tea Dress 50s Silk Hand Painted Velvet Embossed Huge Circle Skirt
Fabulous vintage 1950s Dress created from a vibrant and distinctive gold silk brocade which has been hand painted and has black velvet floral embossed panels. The bodice is fitted into the waist. From the waist the delicate dirndl skirt, which has a slight stiffening, falls away in luxurious folds.
The hand painting is faded but the black velvet is pristine.
This is a beautiful garment, perfect to team with a little bolero or capelet, or perhaps a stole or wrap, wonderful for the cocktail hour, and those special parties, weddings and race meetings or retro music nights. The garment is in stunning condition, although some seams have signs of being stretched
The dress has been dry cleaned.
